Okay, so, I’ve always been kinda curious about all this divination stuff, you know? Like, seeing into the future and all that jazz. I mean, who wouldn’t be? I’ve dabbled a bit with dowsing rods and pendulums when I was a kid – mostly just trying to find lost toys and such. But recently, I decided to get a bit more serious about it. I figured, why not try to make my own divination board? It seemed like a fun project, and hey, maybe I’d actually learn something.
First things first, I needed a board. I didn’t want anything too fancy, just a simple wooden board. I rummaged through my garage and found an old piece of plywood that seemed like it would do the trick. It was a bit rough around the edges, so I grabbed some sandpaper and smoothed it out. Nothing too crazy, just enough so I wouldn’t get splinters.
Next up, I needed to mark the board. I decided to go with a simple “yes,” “no,” and “maybe” setup, along with the alphabet and numbers 0-9. I grabbed a pencil and started sketching out the layout. I’m no artist, so it wasn’t the prettiest thing in the world, but it was functional. Once I was happy with the layout, I went over it with a permanent marker to make it more, well, permanent.
Now for the planchette. This is the little thing that moves around the board and points to the letters and numbers. I didn’t have anything specific in mind for this, so I just started looking around the house for something that might work. I ended up using a small magnifying glass. It had a nice little handle and a clear lens that I figured would make it easy to see where it was pointing. I also wanted to use a glass, however, it seemed like it would be hard to control.
With my board and planchette ready, it was time to give it a try. I sat down at my table, dimmed the lights, and lit a candle to set the mood. I placed the magnifying glass on the board and rested my fingers lightly on the handle. I closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths, and tried to clear my mind.
I started by asking simple questions, like “Is anyone there?” and “Can you hear me?” I focused on the question and waited for the planchette to move. At first, nothing happened. But then, slowly but surely, the magnifying glass started to slide across the board. It was a weird feeling, like something was guiding it. At this moment, I felt a little bit thrilled, but I tried to remain calm.
- First, the planchette moved to “yes.” Okay, cool.
- Then I asked, “What is your name?” The planchette spelled out a name, letter by letter. It was a name I’d never heard before.
I kept asking questions, and the planchette kept moving. Sometimes the answers were clear, other times they were a bit more cryptic. I asked about my family, my friends, my job and even some future plans. I got some interesting and thoughtful answers.
Now, I’m not saying I’m suddenly a divination expert or anything. But it was definitely a fun and interesting experience. It’s something I’d like to explore more in the future. Maybe I’ll even try making a more elaborate board with different symbols and meanings. Who knows? This could be the start of a whole new hobby for me.
The whole thing was way easier than I thought it would be. Just a simple board, a makeshift planchette, and a bit of concentration. It just goes to show that you don’t need a bunch of fancy equipment or years of training to try something new. I recorded the whole process with my phone so I can look back at it whenever I want.
