Okay, so I wanted to make something cool, and I thought, why not a cross beaded bracelet? I’ve seen these around, and they look pretty neat, plus they’ve got that nice spiritual vibe, you know? So, I decided to give it a shot and make one myself.
First things first, I needed to get my stuff together. I didn’t have any beads or anything, so I looked around online. Found some 8mm natural stone beads that looked good. I went with black ones because, you know, black goes with everything and it’s supposed to signify strength and protection. Sounds good to me!
Then I picked up some elastic cord, the stretchy kind that’s easy to work with. And of course, I needed a cross charm. Found a simple, nice-looking one. Also, I grabbed some turquoise beads just to add some variety.
- Gathering the supplies:
- Get some 8mm black natural stone beads.
- Also, grab some 8mm turquoise beads.
- Get some elastic cord for easy stringing.
- Find a cross charm you like.
Once I had all my supplies, I started stringing the beads. I wanted a pattern, so I started with five black beads, then one turquoise bead, then back to five black beads, and so on. I kept doing this until I had enough to go around my wrist comfortably, plus a little extra for tying the knot.
- Stringing the beads:
- Start with five black beads, then add one turquoise bead.
- Repeat the pattern until you have enough beads.
Next, I added the cross charm. I put it in the middle of the bracelet so it would be the centerpiece. I just strung it on like any other bead. I made sure it was secure.

- String the cross charm onto the bracelet like other beads.
Once all the beads and the charm were on, I tied a knot. I’m not gonna lie, this part was a little tricky. I had to make sure the knot was tight enough so the bracelet wouldn’t fall apart, but not so tight that it would snap the cord. After a few tries, I got it just right. I even added a little dab of glue to the knot for extra security. I heard it helps, just in case.

And that’s it! I had my very own handmade cross beaded bracelet. It turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. It’s got that cool, handmade look, and it feels good to wear something I made with my own hands. Plus, it’s a nice reminder of faith and protection, which is always a good thing. I’ve been wearing it every day since I made it, and I’ve gotten a few compliments on it, too!
